KARACHI, July 23, 2026: China and Sindh have agreed to deepen cooperation in various fields, with particular emphasis on economic and social development, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and creating a conducive business environment.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Acting Consul General of China in Karachi Feng Deheng and Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi on July 16.
Feng said China and Pakistan enjoy a long-standing friendship and that bilateral pragmatic cooperation was continuing to expand. He said China was ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Sindh in various areas to promote local economic and social development.
The Chinese diplomat also stressed the importance of ensuring the safety and security of Chinese personnel, projects and institutions and maintaining a sound business environment.
Governor Nehal Hashmi reaffirmed Sindh's commitment to Pakistan-China cooperation and said the province attached great importance to its relations with China. He also expressed support for Sindh's participation in CPEC and efforts to safeguard Chinese personnel and institutions.
Both sides expressed the desire to further promote mutually beneficial cooperation and development.
