TradeTrend is an independent international-affairs and economic journalism platform covering diplomacy, international relations, global trade and the economy, investment, business, geopolitics, connectivity, cultural diplomacy and related developments.
TradeTrend was established in 1994 as a local monthly magazine under the leadership of Salma Khanum. The publication subsequently evolved under the editorial leadership of Sami Ahmed, who took over in 2022 and began developing its coverage of diplomacy, international relations, trade, investment, business and global affairs, including the introduction of country-focused special editions.
In July 2026, Arman Sabir joined TradeTrend as Managing Editor and began developing its online edition, extending the publication's work into a digital platform with an international editorial scope.
Country-Focused Coverage
Country-focused coverage has been an important part of TradeTrend's work. Its special editions have provided comprehensive coverage of individual countries, bringing together their political and diplomatic engagement, economic development, trade and investment opportunities, culture and relations with Pakistan.
TradeTrend has published country-focused special editions on South Korea, Japan, Turkey and Oman. This work forms part of its broader interest in understanding countries and regions through their diplomatic, economic, commercial and cultural relationships.
