KARACHI, July 17, 2026: A Pakistani delegation preparing to visit China to study the development of the Gwadar Industrial Park has discussed cooperation in industrial development, port logistics and talent cultivation with Chinese officials in Karachi.

The delegation met Acting Consul General of China in Karachi Feng Deheng on July 14.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, with particular attention to industrial park development and the integration of port, industry and urban development.

Feng said the delegation's visit to China would provide an opportunity to gain practical knowledge from China's experience in developing modern industrial parks.

He encouraged the delegation to apply the lessons learned during the visit to support further progress on the Gwadar Industrial Park and contribute to the development of the Gwadar region.

The Pakistani delegation expressed appreciation for the arrangements made for the visit and said it would study Chinese experience carefully with a view to supporting economic and social development in Gwadar.

The meeting comes as both countries continue to focus on industrial and economic cooperation under CPEC.
